“How long have you been involved with the YLG?
I first joined the Interact network and became an active member of the Young Lawyers Group when my law firm, ljh Rechtsanwälte, hosted the Munich conference in 2024. Since then, the YLG has become an integral part of my professional journey. Over the past two years, I have had the pleasure of connecting with exceptional and highly motivated young colleagues from across the globe, and the group has consistently offered outstanding opportunities for engagement, learning, and meaningful collaboration.
What does the YLG bring to Interact Law?
From my perspective, the young lawyer’s viewpoint has never been more vital to sustaining the network’s collaborative spirit and strong international bonds, particularly as we navigate the significant shifts currently transforming the legal profession. Therefore, the Young Lawyers Group brings a fresh and dynamic perspective to Interact Law: In a rapidly evolving legal landscape – shaped by technological advancements such as AI, changing generational expectations among lawyers and clients alike, and the growing presence of female lawyers – the Group helps ensure that our network remains innovative, closely connected, and fully attuned to developments in the legal market. It allows Interact Law to stay relevant and forward-looking while preserving the close personal ties and supportive culture that define our organisation.
How has being a part of the YLG helped you and your practice?
My involvement in the Young Lawyers Group has already proven immensely valuable. It has enabled me to build strong connections with talented and driven young lawyers across multiple jurisdictions on similar career stages, establish meaningful international relationships, and create valuable direct contacts for cross-border client work.
Through the support and expertise of my fellow members, I have gained important insights into international legal practice and current developments in other countries’ legal markets, while also developing a deeper appreciation for the unique learning opportunities that cross-border matters provide.
From my viewpoint, these experiences and skills are essential for delivering high-level legal advice in today’s increasingly globalised environment. Moreover, the close-knit nature of the network has already provided excellent support on international matters I am handling, directly enhancing both my practice and client outcomes.
What do you hope to bring to your role as co-chair of the YLG?
As Co-Chair, I am committed to further strengthening the bonds within the Young Lawyers Practice Group, actively engaging the next generation of Interact members by encouraging more young lawyers to join, and fostering meaningful participation to preserve and advance the unique spirit of Interact Law.
I am particularly looking forward to collaborating closely with Dominique, building upon her excellent contributions, and working together to highlight key topics relevant to our community while conveying fresh perspectives to the wider Interact network. I am excited to embrace new challenges and seize opportunities alongside such highly motivated colleagues as we help shape the future of Interact Law.”
